The health belief model is continually being used in today's society. It is always being molded, reused, and reshaped to fit various studies and tests.
Throughout the HBM, there exists a need to refine and standardize the tools used to measure the models components. The variability which now exists renders interpretations of results and comparison of findings across studies problematic. Specific attention is needed to be devoted to the HBM-related scale development and evaluation, for it is a critical issue that is important to consider further research for. (Janz et al., 1984)
